1. Top Nasal Irrigation Products

Nasal irrigation is fantastic way to clear your sinuses out. It’s an ancient technique that involves flushing the sinuses with a solution. Typically this is a saline solution but there are many other solutions you can create to boost your own nasal irrigation practice.

Top Neti Pot

We have tried a large number of neti pots. What you are looking for in a good neti pot is water flow, ease of use, ease of cleaning and a good nozzle. I would avoid the plastic neti pots, simply because it is recommended to replace them every 3 – 4 months or when they become discolored. If you get a good ceramic pot, it can last you for a very long time with proper maintenance.

Currently Recommend Neti Pot: Nettie The Elephant

It has a good water flow (they say 50% more than other neti pots). It may not fit everyone’s nostril but it should fit most.

Squeeze Bottles

Squeeze bottles are fairly simple, or at least they should be. You don’t want a bottle that leaves most of the solution in the bottle after you are finished. Neilmed produce good quality squeeze bottles at a decent price. If in doubt, go for that one.

Currently Recommended Squeeze Bottle: NeilMed Squeeze Bottle

Sinus Irrigation System

If you need something more heavy duty than squeeze bottles or neti pots, the Sinupulse may be what you are after. It has a larger capacity than either neti pots or squeeze bottles and actively pumps out the solution into your sinuses over a longer period of time.

Currently Recommended Sinus Irrigation System: SinuPulse Irrigation System

2. Parasites

If you suffer chronic sinusitis and have mucus problems, consider a parasite cleanse. Everyone has parasites. You may have a large infestation, which can lead to large-scale problems. A parasite cleanse is a great way to begin treating your entire system to get rubbish out.

Parasite Cleanse Material

You will want 4 or perhaps 5 complimentary products.

  1. Now Foods Fresh Green Black Walnut Wormwood Complex

This tincture contains three powerful herbs:

  1. Cloves
  2. Wormwood
  3. The green hulls of black walnuts

The combination works together to kill parasites at all stages (adults, larvae and eggs).

  1. Yerba Prima Bentonite

Bentonite is a ‘living clay’. It will move through your system and absorb anything and everything it comes into contact with, cleaning you out in the process.

  1. Yerba Prima Psyllium Whole Husks

Psyllium scrapes your colon clean as it moves through your system, taking dead and paralyzed parasites with it.

Mix the Bentonite and Psyllium to create a shake. Do not consume within an hour of food or the parasite tincture. The mixture will clear up toxins and parasites. Parasites die off inside you so you do not want them just sitting there.

  1. North American Herb and Spice, Oreganol P73

An immensely powerful herb. Take this daily during your parasite cleanse to enhance the effects of the tincture.

  1. Now Foods L-Arginine

During the early stages of your parasite cleanse you can experience some fairly unpleasant symptoms. As parasites die, they release a lot of toxic material into your body. L-Arginine helps to reduce those symptoms. The difference between taking it and not taking it during a parasite cleanse can be remarkable.

3. Water

Water Distillers

It should go without saying that it is very important to drink good quality water. Water distillation takes out all of the rubbish and leaves you with nothing but water. You don’t need to add minerals or anything else to it. Just make it and drink it.

Recommended Distiller: Megahome Countertop Water Distiller

There is nothing special about it, which is exactly what you are looking for in a distiller. It simply makes enough distilled water for 2 – 3 people each day.

Shower Filters

When you shower, you absorb a lot of chemicals in the water. One chemical you do not want to absorb is chlorine. A shower filter is a relatively cheap way to make your showers healthier. No filter is perfect so if one doesn’t work for you, try another.

Currently Recommended Shower Filter: Rainshow'r CQ-1000-MS Shower Filter

It is recommended to replace the filter every 4-6 months to continue to enjoy chlorine-free showers.

4. Juicers

Juicing is a great way to get a nutrient punch. Replacing cooked meals with freshly juiced vegetables is a surefire way to begin managing sinus congestion. There are two main types of juicers you can get.

  1. Cold Press: slowly separates the juice from the veggies
  2. Centrifugal: uses a fast spinning blade to quickly juice veggies

If you have the option, go with a cold press juicer. You will get more nutrients as the blade heats up and can destroy a portion of the goodness provided by the juice. You also get more juice and drier pulp. With centrifugal juicers the pulp produced often contains a lot of liquid. With cold press juicers the pulp typically comes out dry, meaning the juice is in your cup, not in the rubbish.

Currently Recommended Juicer: Breville BJS600XL Fountain Crush Masticating Slow Juicer

5. Enemas

Enemas are a great way to clear otherwise stuck waste from your system. We recommend getting a good quality, silicone enema kit.

Currently Recommended Enema Kit: Peaceful Energy Enema Bag

6. Herbs

Herbs are powerful allies in the fight against sinus infection. Herbs can be taken as teas, eaten directly, made into tinctures or essential oils.

Here are a few great herbs to help you (the links will take you to recommended products):

  1. Lavender Oil
  2. Oregano Oil
  3. Peppermint Oil
  4. Goldenseal Root

Keep it simple. Lavender and peppermint are good for soothing the sinuses while goldenseal and oregano are fantastic for destroying infection.

Essential oils can simply rubbed onto the top of your shirt. However there are other delivery methods as well in the form of essential oil diffusers:

Recommended Diffusers:

  1. Electric: Now Foods Bamboo Diffuser. Oils are diffused automatically throughout the room.
  2. Portable: BA Designs Essential Oil Diffuser Necklace. You place essential oils on the pads and wear the necklace. The oils diffuse throughout the day.
  3. Candle Warmer: Ivenf Ceramic Candle Warmer. This is a very simple product. You light a candle underneath the oil and it slowly diffuses it throughout the room.

7. Exercise

Keeping yourself fit and active is a necessary part of keeping your sinuses clear. You may already have a great exercise routine. However, if you are out of shape and a little bit lost, consider a home exercise system.

Currently Recommended Program: Insanity

It’s fun! Shaun T rocks it and it you will see enormous weight loss results, while at the same time helping your muscles to de-atrophy. If you’re not there already, Insanity will help you get into the game.

Summary

You don’t need all of these to start improving your sinuses. Start with nasal irrigation and a parasite cleanse. Eat well and drink good quality water. That will give you a great head start on your sinus battle. Also check out The Sinus Guide for a jam-packed 30 day plan to cure your sinuses naturally!
